A recent cyber-attack WannaCry (short for WannaCrypt) prompted Microsoft to put out a security update for all Windows users, including those using older versions, such as Vista.
What Microsoft didn’t say is that while researchers were fixing WannaCry they found a 20 year old virus that is still able to get into ALL Windows computers from Windows 2000 to Windows 10. Microsoft says it is a ‘minimal threat’ and hasn’t issued any patches for it! While more of a threat to businesses and their servers, it can still crash and freeze individual computers.
