Microsoft Surface products have become popular lately.  On some the keyboard is removable, you to draw on the screen, the list goes on and on.  However, Consumer Reports just removed their ‘recommendation’ for four of these laptops.

They recently saw that Microsoft laptops have a 25% breakage during two years of ownership.  ‘Breakage’ being loosely defined as either an issue within the device or simply not working the way the owner thinks it should.

Some of the problems that have been happening include start up issues, the device freezing or shutting off unexpectedly, or that the touch pad didn’t respond fast enough.  Consumer Reports didn’t do further testing to show how often each of these problems occur, just pulled their endorsement for it.
