Hackers know that in times of disaster people try to help those in need. Hackers aren’t above taking advantage! They are currently targeting those affected by Hurricane Harvey. While it comes as no surprise we want you to be aware of the scams out there.
As of Tuesday 8/29/17, there were phishing and farming scams on Facebook and fraudulent GoFundMe accounts.
If you are looking for a way to help those affected, be vigilant about what websites you use. Make sure that the website you are on is what it says it is. If you are uncertain, don’t use that page.
