Everyone knows there are scams out there. We try to keep you up-to-date so you are prepared. These 5 may be old but even the best of us fall for them!
- Job Scam:
If you are looking for work, remember that NO legitimate company is going to ask you to pay them for a job or send you a check for work that hasn’t been done! - Vacation Scam:
These scammers contact you. Someone will send you an email or brochure about a vacation destination. If it seems too good to be true, chances are, it is. - Concert Scam:
This will probably be a phone call about the great prices you can get on tickets. Check out the venue website to be sure there is actually a show. - Moving Scam:
Once again, a phone call… they call and give you a quote right over the phone without looking at anything. Afterwards they demand way more than they quoted you. - Door-to-Door Scam:
This one is a little trickier because there are still some legitimate companies that do door-to-door sales. However, if you are unsure, check out the credentials of the person at your door before you let them in.
