Pop-up ads have become a normal part of our daily internet browsing. We consider them a nuisance but now they are something more. Hackers have found a way to make them malicious!
Some pop up ads are legitimate, while others are not. Hackers have become even sneakier. They find expired links for legitimate companies, buy them and turn them into malicious pop ups. Since the links were once legitimate, it makes it harder for them to be detected by anti-virus software.
Tip: Keep all of your software up-to-date to help prevent attacks on your computer.
