On September 12th and September 20th we brought you news of the Equifax breach. At that point in time over 143 million had been thought to be affected. A security firm has completed a forensic investigation showing that another 2.5 million were involved in this breach! That brings the total to 145.5 million!!
To see if you may be one of the millions affected by this breach, please go to www.equifaxsecurity2017.com. Make sure you are on a secure computer as you will have to put in the last digits of your social security number.
How to protect your Social Security Number:
1: Put a freeze on your credit by contacting the 3 Credit Report companies either by phone (below) or online. If you put a freeze on your credit you will have to lift it later!
