Millions of people have a FaceBook account.  The more people on any website make it more attractive to hackers; this means it is more likely to have malware and viruses hidden on it.  Twitter and other social media websites are as susceptible as FaceBook!

Hackers are using a different form of phishing now called ‘spear-phishing.’  Hackers set up a link specifically targeted towards you.  They like to use the following:

1:  A free trip or a contest, all you have to do is fill out a form with all of your information.

2:  They might post a link that is similar to something you previously posted.

3:  Another trick they like is to fake friends.  They take pictures off of a friends’ page, put them on theirs and pretend to be your friend.
