Recent studies show that there over 6,000 apps that can be downloaded onto your phone are malicious! The study first showed them in the Google Play store but Google Play removed them.
Tips to know if your phone is infected:
1: Is your data usage inconsistent with what you use?
2: Does your battery drain too often?
Tips to protect yourself against malware:
1: Only download from a trusted store (ie: Google Play)
2: Don’t use a 3rd party store
3: Check the reviews of the app you are downloading
4: Verify the developer by doing a Google search
5: Make sure the security on your phone is up to date
