Zero-Day Exploits refers to a vulnerability in software that hackers have found and before the software company finds it and comes up with patch to fix it.

This is not rare. Hackers are smart, otherwise they wouldn’t make money!  A lot of the time software developers aren’t as quick to see where a patch needs to be installed.

Why does this matter to you?  The software that you just installed may have a vulnerability that hasn’t been found or patched yet.  Hackers can get in and plant malware and pull data out of your computer.

What do you do?  Make sure your software is up-to-date and if you are unsure about a software that you are thinking about installing, check to see if there are any patches for it yet.
