The latest attack launched by hackers, Scarab, is a phishing scam through the email.

The subject line says that it was scanned by a trusted printer company, such as Lexmark, Epson, HP or Canon.

These emails have an attachment that hackers hope you will look at.  The attachment is actually a zip file that once opened, will encrypt everything on your computer.

Once this happens you will get a note that looks similar to this:
