Over the past months, Twitter has had a prototype of an encrypted messaging system. It recently showed up on the Android phones, allowing them to have ‘secret’ conversations.
Up until now, the direct messaging, or DM, on Twitter hasn’t been encoded which means that anyone with the right knowledge can look at it.
However, after a request for more privacy made back in December of 2016 it looks like there will soon be a way to have an encrypted conversation on Twitter!
Twitter hasn’t made any announcements yet about this.
