Recently researchers discovered some apps in the Google Play Store contain malicious adware!
They haven’t named which apps, but they did say that the apps were for:
Emoji Keyboard Additions
Tricks hackers use:
Hackers use many tricks, one of them is a fraudulent Google logo to make us feel safe downloading. Another is to have the adware run in the background or on a time delay so it’s not noticed before the damage is done.
What can you do?
While these apps are in Google Play you should still use the app store! Downloading third party apps is risky. They don’t have to go through any security.
Make sure that your devices are up-to-date
Check the developer of the App before downloading it
Read the reviews! Not everyone is happy with every app!
