We all have passwords and security questions.  And yes, they can be a hassle.  Recent guidelines are suggesting that your answers for your security questions should be lies.

Here’s why:

With a little research hackers can easily crack your security questions!

For instance, your mother’s maiden name – that’s a public record.

Your school mascot?  The hacker just has to find out where you went to school (which is quite possibly on your social media profiles) and from there it’s easy enough to find out the mascot.

So, when you are setting up security questions, lie.  Just remember to make sure that YOU will remember the answer!
