Apple prides itself on being less vulnerable to hacking and hackers have recently accepted this challenge. They have started specifically targeting iPhone users!
The latest phishing email tells iPhone users that their phone has been locked due to “illegal activity” and gives a link to fix it.
We’ve all heard this tactic, but here’s the new twist: the hackers are opening a dialog box for a phone call or a face time session. They hope this will give their potential victims a sense of urgency and make them look official.
How to Avoid This Scam:
1: Check the email for spelling and grammar
2: Don’t open a link in an email if it doesn’t look right
3: And don’t give out your personal information!
