NewEgg is an online retailer that boasts 45 million monthly visitors to their site! Between August 14th and September 18th hackers were able to ‘skim’ the credit card information from NewEgg’s website onto a server of their own.
NewEgg doesn’t know how many or who was affected at this point. One would hope that they would have that information shortly.
If you ordered from NewEgg during this time period with a credit card you should check your credit card statement immediately!
