Researchers have recently discovered a malware strain, Fbot, with the same attributes as a botnet virus but it doesn’t do anything malicious. Instead, Fbot, removes crpytomining malware.
The Fbot gets onto your Android devices through an open port and as far as the researchers can figure, it has only 3 functions.
1: Install itself onto your Android device.
2: Delete all Cryptomining malware and
3: Self destruct
No one knows whether this is the work of a do good hacker or if it’s someone trying to eliminate their competition, which is always possible.
