On Friday, September 28th Facebook announced that that 50 million users may have been affected by their “View As” feature which has been exploited.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this feature, it allows you to see your account as others would.

Hackers have used this option to steal access tokens, which are digital keys allowing them to log into accounts and get their information.

Facebook reset 50 million access tokens that they know were affected and another 40 million on those that they believe may have been affected.

What does this mean?

If you were one of the 90 million that had their access keys reset it means that you will have to log in to Facebook with your credentials.  After you log in, there will be a message from Facebook telling you why you had to do this
