The newest CryptoCurrency Miner is being disguised as an Adobe Flash update. The most clever aspect of this is that the hackers aren’t just installing the miner, they are also updating the Adobe Flash.
Previously, hackers have taken us to the Adobe update website but gone no further. This time they are going the extra mile and updating the Adobe software.
By updating Adobe Flash we don’t realize that the mining program is being silently installed in the background.
After the miner is installed it will use almost 100% of your CPU making your computer unusable.
What do you do?
If you get a notice that you need to update Adobe, to Adobe.com to get your updates.
