Microsoft Defender is an anti-virus program that comes with every version of Windows, whether you are running XP, 10 or anything in between.

Microsoft recently added a new feature to Windows Defender called Sandbox Mode.

Sandbox Mode is a way to run the Defender so that it is separated from the rest of the files on your computer.  This means that if Windows Defender finds a virus it can keep it away from your files or your operating system.

Windows is going to “gradually enable” this feature, which means that if you don’t have it turned on, you will have to do it manually.
