Microsoft releases patches for the Windows operating system the second Tuesday of every month. The last update is causing licenses to be deactivated.
Those running Windows 10 Pro are getting an error that says the license is not valid and if you have a valid license to click on the ‘Troubleshoot’ link below.
When you click on the ‘Troubleshoot’ link, there is a second message that comes up saying that Windows 10 Home is what you have a license for and to fix the problem you have to reinstall Windows 10 Home.
What to do:
Microsoft is aware of the problem and a solution in effect. If you got these error messages, wait a few days and try to reactivate your Windows. It should work.
If it doesn’t you will have to contact Microsoft about it.
