Browser extensions are supposed to make your life easier. You might have an Adblocker one or Grammerly or maybe one to help you save money shopping.
What you may not be aware of is hackers love extensions because it’s a way to get around your anti-virus program! They will either make their own that look helpful or they may take over ones that are already installed.
Extensions can track your search history, what you type into websites, like banking information, or a number of other activities.
What should you do?
1: Read permissions required by an extension carefully.
2: Make sure that the extensions you have are what you want.
3: If you don’t know what an extension is, remove it.
