Would you trade your privacy in order to not receive spam text messages?
Google’s Message App can block the spam messages but first you have to allow it to collect information about your text messages.
Google says that the messages themselves aren’t collected just the information about them, such as where / who they are coming from and when.
The company already collects a ton of data on you anyway… what’s one more thing?
However, if you don’t care for the idea of them having this information you can either turn off the spam filter on the Google Message app or change your message app.
