We have done a lot of blogs about phishing scams in the past but with the new year comes new scams. We want to go over the basics of phishing scams and how to spot them!
1: What is Phishing?
Phishing is no different than any other scam. The purpose is to get information that will make them money. Hackers will send out a large number of emails hoping that someone takes the bait.
Most Phishing Scams have the same tell tale signs.
Bad grammar and spelling is a dead giveaway. If you’re having a hard time reading the email, delete it!
There is always a sense of urgency. “You’re account is frozen, click here now to fix it!”
None of these things can’t wait for an hour for you to double check the validity of them.
