2:  Spear Phishing

As the name suggested, this is a targeted email focused specifically on you or your organization.

3:  Smishing or SM Phishing

These are phishing text messages or phone calls.  Usually text messages.  These usually have a link in them that hackers are looking for you t click on.

Beware of:

Bad grammar and spelling.  Most of these hackers don’t have English as a first language.

Check out the ‘From’ section.  If it looks even a little bit off, don’t touch the email or text message.

If you get a call and you don’t recognize the phone number, let it go to voicemail.  If it is something important they will leave a message.

If the message is in the form of an automated call, don’t respond.  It’s probably a scam.
