2: Spear Phishing
As the name suggested, this is a targeted email focused specifically on you or your organization.
3: Smishing or SM Phishing
These are phishing text messages or phone calls. Usually text messages. These usually have a link in them that hackers are looking for you t click on.
Bad grammar and spelling. Most of these hackers don’t have English as a first language.
Check out the ‘From’ section. If it looks even a little bit off, don’t touch the email or text message.
If you get a call and you don’t recognize the phone number, let it go to voicemail. If it is something important they will leave a message.
If the message is in the form of an automated call, don’t respond. It’s probably a scam.
