Apple missed the bug that has been in their FaceTime app for three month with the last update.

What was this bug?

It allowed you to call someone and be able to hear them before they accepted or rejected the call.   This means that anyone could be spying on you without you knowing it!

This bug is in present in any Apple device that supports Group FaceTime.  That includes anything running iOS 12.1 or later, iPhone 6s, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4.

By adding your phone number to a Group FaceTime session it assumes that it’s active and starts to transmit audio.

What does Apple say about this?

They have turned off the Group Facetime feature and are working on a fix for the entire problem.

What should you do?

Disable your FaceTime app immediately to prevent any risk of someone eavesdropping on you!
