This particular malware, ‘Clipper’, is used to steal information from the clipboard on your gadget.

What does this mean?

Say you have a password that you copy and paste onto a website, it is saved to your clipboard.  Anytime you copy something, it is saved to your clipboard.

How does it get onto your gadget?

An app called MetaMask was recently on Google Play.  It’s actually a browser extension used to transfer cryptocurrency.  There is NO app for it as of yet.

If you downloaded the MetaMask app, you downloaded the ‘Clipper’ malware.

What should you do?

Delete the app immediately.

Clean your clipboard.

Change your passwords and set up two factor authentication where available.
