The latest ransomware, CLOP, is infecting networks not just computers. This particular ransomware is downloaded with a digital signature which makes it look legitimate.
After being installed, it will stop processes and disable antivirus software. Soon it will close everything out and start encrypting data. File names will end with .CLOP or .CIop for example picture.jpg.CLOP.

How to protect yourself from ransomware:
Make backups of any important data and keep it disconnected from your computer when it’s not in use.
Have an anti-virus installed and make sure it’s up-to-date.
Keep your operating system up-to-date.
Don’t open attachments from unknown sources or that you aren’t expecting!
