As far as phishing scams go, this one shouldn’t be difficult to spot.
It looks like this:
Clues that it’s a scam:
- Grammar and spelling.
2: The FBI is sending you an email to let you know they are sending you 10.7 million dollars? And they don’t use your name, just Beneficiary.
3: They tell you that the last banking scam was legal!
4: They want to put a wire tap on the internet…
5: The email says that there are a lot of scams on the internet.
6: Your check will weigh approximately 2.1kg. That translates to over 4 pounds! Heavy check.
7: Your contact is a yahoo account? Really? The FBI is using yahoo accounts to send information about 10.7 million dollars?
In conclusion, the scam is pretty funny but definitely worth deleting after you get a laugh over it!
