The scam looks something like this:

 

As far as scams go, it’s pretty well done.

Couple things are off though:

1:        The main mistake that the hackers make is asking for your password!  No legitimate company will ever ask you for your password!

2:        There are a few spelling / grammar errors.

3:        It simply says “Hi” for the opening line. Your name or handle should be here.

4:        The address for YouTube at the bottom is incorrect.

A more aggressive form of this scam that is also being used is when the scammer reports your site twice and then wants you to pay them so that they won’t report you a third time.

If you get an email that you feel isn’t right, contact the company that it’s supposedly from to check on it.
