A while ago we reported on the Jokeroo Ransomware that was selling data and ransomware to hackers online.
The Jokeroo Ransomware website made it into the news again last week but this time it wasn’t for stealing data or selling ransomware but for stealing money from the people that paid for their services!
There is currently a note on their website that says that they have been shut down by the police in Thailand and the Netherlands:
This isn’t true.
What’s happening?
The owners of this website are attempting an ‘exit scam.’ Basically this means that they are turning off their site, taking what money they made, and leaving.
