Scams happen all across the internet. It’s hard to zoom in on just one, however this one did catch our eye.
Instagram is full of sales and marketing, a lot of them scams. The latest one is for Ray-Ban sunglasses. They are being offered at “90%” off.
When users click on the link for these ‘spectacular’ deals they are exposing their information to hackers who can target them for phishing scams or worse.
What should you do?
1: If you see this ad, even if it’s posted by a friend, stay away from it!
2: Don’t click on an ad unless you know exactly where you will be going to.
3: Generally speaking, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.
4: If you’ve seen this ad you should change your password immediately.
